In April we received a new system update for the 3DS.
This update gave us the ability to organize our games into folders. I don’t know about you, but as an Ambassador my home screen was full of games. Nintendo has put out an amazing amount of downloadable content and the ability to organize it without having to scroll screen after screen is a great addition. We even get to name our folders so we remember what’s in each one.
Also in this update they built in the ability to install patches to games you have already purchased, digital or cartridge. We saw the first one of these updates in May with Mario Kart 7. This also was a welcome update as the online multi-player games had been overrun with players using unfair glitches to get ahead. After figuring out why I was always last and learning to perform the cheat myself, I still sighed with disappointment anytime another player chose the Maka Wuhu map for races online. Nintendo even ensured an even playing field by requiring the update before allowing you to play online. So, get to the eShop and download this update.
Nintendo’s newest hand-held, the Nintendo 3DS, is finally here. With a dual-screen setup that features a glasses-free 3D display and a touch-sensitive secondary screen, the Nintendo 3DS offers a unique gaming experience.
But with a price tag of $249.99, you may be on the fence about whether or not to buy a Nintendo 3DS. Having already purchased a 3DS of my own, what better way to kick off my new 3DS Blog than with a Nintendo 3DS review to help you decide! Continue reading
There are a plethora of video game reviews on the internet, and each site reviews games in their own way. With that in mind, I figured it would be a good idea to lay down some guidelines for how 3DS game reviews will be presented on my 3DS blog.
In my reviews, I’m not going to break games down into a list of attributes and assign each one a finely-tuned decimal rating – there are plenty of sites doing that already. What I will do, is address the questions that you come to a video game review to get answers for. Continue reading
“What would you think about exchanging 3DS’s for our anniversary this year?”
Don’t you love it when somebody gets you? My wife, Sarah, gets me. Continue reading

Nintendo recently announced that they will be phasing out production of the Aqua Blue 3DS system.
Nintendo of America has made no announcement either way for the sale of the system in the US.
This news comes shortly after Nintendo announced the release of the new Midnight Purple 3DS coming in May and the release of the Cobalt Blue 3DS in Japan.
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, GameStop has lowered the price of the Nintendo 3DS Pearl Pink and the rest as well. This sale runs through February 12.
As you save $20 on this new system, you may look at the new Circle Pad Pro, a GameStop exclusive. They are selling it for $19.99 This new peripheral adds a circle pad to the right side and additional shoulder buttons.
As I stated in my previous post those of us that purchased the Nintendo 3DS are getting 10 NES Virtual Console games.
Nintendo announced they would be available to download September 1st, but it’s already available NOW!
